About Rank Up

A Studio Built On Respect, Repetition, and Real Results.

We teach traditional Taekwondo the way it was meant to be taught: with high standards, warm instruction, and the patience to meet every student exactly where they are.

Our Mission

Help Every Student Rank Up.

Rank Up Martial Arts exists for one reason: to help kids, teens, and adults become a better version of themselves through Taekwondo. The belts are the visible markers, but the real transformation is the way our students walk, listen, finish what they start, and treat the people around them.

We're a small studio by design. Every instructor knows every student's name. Every parent knows where their kid stands and where they're headed next. And every class, beginner through black belt, runs on the same standard: bow in, work hard, finish what you start.

What We Stand For

  • Traditional technique, taught with patience
  • Small classes and personal attention
  • A clear path from white belt to black belt
  • Real-world skills: focus, discipline, self-defense
  • A family-first community where parents feel welcome
The Tenets We Train By

Five Words. Repeated For A Reason.

Every Taekwondo class begins and ends with the same five tenets. They're not slogans. They're the standard the studio is built on.

Courtesy

Bow in. Bow out. Treat every classmate, every parent, and every visitor with respect, on the mat and off.

Integrity

Be honest about your effort. The black belt earned with shortcuts is heavier than the one earned slowly.

Perseverance

The technique is the easy part. The hard part is showing up the day you don't feel like it.

Self-Control

Power without control is just noise. We train kids to know the difference and choose accordingly.

Indomitable Spirit

Quit is not a word we use in this studio. There is only the next attempt.

30 Years On The Mat. A Lifetime Of Teaching.

Rank Up Martial Arts is led by an instructor with deep technical credentials and three decades of experience. But the real focus of every class is the student in front of us, and the person they're becoming, one belt at a time.

Teaching Built On Discipline & Quality

Master Instructor has spent more than three decades on the mat, and the lesson at the heart of it all is simple: quality is built through discipline, repetition, and patience, not shortcuts and not short cuts in attitude.

That same standard shapes every class at Rank Up. Beginners learn the right stance before they learn the kick. Black belts refine techniques they've practiced thousands of times. Every rep, every belt, every student is taught with the same level of care, attention, and respect.

For Rank Up families, that means one thing: your student isn't just learning Taekwondo. They're learning how to do anything well, in a way that carries off the mat into school, work, and life.

Student Development

How Taekwondo Builds A Stronger You

Every class is training for the mat and training for life. Here's what students build, week after week, belt after belt: a sharper mind, a stronger body, and the kind of character that shows up everywhere else.

Strong Mindset

Focus, patience, and the ability to stay calm under pressure. Students learn to set goals, work through frustration, and finish what they start.

Strong Body

Coordination, strength, flexibility, and conditioning built through age-appropriate, traditional training. Real fitness that grows with the student and lasts a lifetime.

Discipline & Character

Respect, perseverance, integrity, and self-control. The five tenets of Taekwondo become the way our students show up at home, at school, and on the mat.

Confidence & Presence

Self-defense skills, situational awareness, and the steady confidence of someone who knows what they can handle. Quiet, real, and earned one class at a time.

What Students Build

Real Development. Mind And Body.

Taekwondo isn't just a hobby and it isn't a competition track. It's a method for becoming a sharper, stronger, more disciplined version of yourself, one repetition at a time.

In The Mind

  • Focus: Sustained attention that carries into school, work, and life
  • Confidence: Built from real accomplishment, not empty praise
  • Perseverance: The ability to keep going when something gets hard
  • Self-control: Steady composure on the mat and off
  • Growth mindset: Mistakes reframed as the next lesson
  • Goal-setting: A clear path from white belt to black belt and beyond

In The Body

  • Coordination: Balance, agility, and full-body control
  • Strength: Functional strength developed at a healthy pace
  • Flexibility: Mobility, range of motion, and injury prevention
  • Conditioning: Cardiovascular endurance that builds real stamina
  • Awareness: Posture, breath control, and body awareness
  • Self-defense: Practical skills grounded in repeated practice
"Quality isn't about how fast you earn the next belt. It's about the discipline to keep showing up, the attention you bring to every repetition, and the person you become along the way. That's what students take home with them."
